Porka’s is one of the first Italian art collective to experience the interventionism, and during the first years of works they create the street-photo performance technique. In Europe the Dott. Porka’s have many “partners in crime” who approve their ideas, goals and modus operandi. They’re called “sleeping cells”. When their help is necessary, they’re alerted and reach a specific place attending with logistics and supports the Dott. Porka’s intervention: they all become Dott. Porka’s. When the action is over the cells come back to their previous state. During the raids the collective very often violates red zones, interdicted or confiscated by the istitutions.

I singoli componenti dei Dott. Porka’s P-Proj. si formano sui media “virali” e underground, come i fumetti autoprodotti e le street tv alla fine dei ’90, passando per le forme più grezze e primitive di street art. Nel 2002 si uniscono dando vita ad un progetto comune, anonimo, il Dott. Porka’s p-proj. Il loro gioco è quello di scompaginare le carte del mondo dell’arte riscattando l’omologazione dello “spettatore” ed invitandolo ad interrogarsi direttamente su ciò che vede. Sono tra i primi in Italia a muoversi nella direzione dell’“interventionism” urbano approntando nei primi anni di lavoro la tecnica della street-photo performance. I Dott. Porka’s hanno sul territorio europeo diversi complici che ne condividono idee, finalità e modus operandi. Vengono chiamate “cellule dormienti”. Quando è necessario il loro aiuto vengono allertate ed intervengono sul posto fornendo supporto logistico ed operativo all’ intervento dei Dott. Porka’s e diventando loro stessi parte dei Dott.
